Dr. Ghattas
I am Pierre Ghattas. I was born and raised right here in Houston where dentistry fascinated me from a very early age. From the time I first realized there was such thing as a dentist, I was intrigued. Intrigued in fact, by the simplest things. I still remember the day a local dentist came to my elementary school and spoke with us about how to take care of our teeth. I remember vividly the props he used, mainly the extra large toothbrush and mannequin teeth he used for demonstration. I knew I wanted to be a dentist. After graduating from Langham Creek High School, I attended Texas A&M University and received a degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Business Administration. I then completed dental school at The University of Texas at San Antonio. I practiced in Kentucky for a short period, but realized there were other more advanced procedures I wished to study and provide patients. So I decided to take the final step of my formal training at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale receiving a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Although I have completed all this training, I believe in keeping up with all the latest information, research, and technology that is available, so I dedicate myself to participating in seminars across the country to continue to learn to provide the best for my patients.
In between college and dental school I spent time involved in another one of my passions, teaching. Although for only a short time, having approximately six months after college and before beginning dental school, I became a substitute teacher in the Cy-Fair School District. Helping people to learn is something I enjoy very much. I pride myself on continuing to use the teacher within me in my dental practice, educating my patients of any and all aspects of dentistry they might need. It is this interaction that makes my job very enjoyable and causes me to look forward to meeting and treating each and every patient.
